BATS Theatre is an international, English-speaking, amateur theatre group in Stavanger, Norway. It was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization. BATS produces 2-4 major shows each year, as well as several smaller ongoing, and annual projects. While are most known for our yearly panto in the British style, we also produce other types of comedy and dramas, particularly original works from local playwrights.

We welcome new members from all backgrounds and capabilities. We need not only actors, but backstage and organizational people as well! BATS Theatre members pay an annual dues of 200 kroner for individuals or 300 kroner per household, which helps maintain basic expenses. Paid members receive a 50 kr discount on tickets to the spring play each year (good for 1 ticket per individual or up to 2 tickets per household).
