This performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is shortened to be 90 minutes long; however, the language remains in the original Shakespeare so that you may enjoy the lyrical aspect of his genius. This play is all about love – forbidden, unrequited, new and old – and the meddling fairies trying to help the people. It’s a comedy made funny by the wordplay which Shakespeare uses and with the talents of our actors.
We are very excited about this production as it is the first time BATS has attempted Shakespeare and we are really enjoying the rehearsals and looking forward to the final product in front of you, our audience!
